The Big Match - Barton vs Barrington

Print

Item added: Friday, 26 March 2010 Written by Jordan and Thomas (Class 4)

Barton wins 5-1!!!

FootballBarton started on the attack and before long Jordan scored. In less than five minutes to break the deadlock, Barton started to take control of the game and Nick tapped home the second goal. Barton carried on passing the ball around Barrington and soon Thomas smashed the ball past the Barrington goal keeper. Barton kept forcing the ball up field and with the last touch of the first half Thomas smacked his second goal into the net to make it 4-0 at half time. Barrington started to attack but could not find the back of the net. Barrington eventually broke the resilient defence and lashed home a volley. Barton started to attack again and Nick scored his second of the game. Then the ref blew for full time.

The Circus Comes to Town ...

Item added: Wednesday, 03 March 2010 Written by Sue Carpenter (Head Teacher)

circus_tentI very much enjoy the first part of each half term as it is the time that classes do their Entry Point, most exciting part of each IPC topic. And this afternoon, I have been to the Circus! Class 2 have been preparing for several days now, practising circus tricks, planning their costumes and rehearsing jokes.  During the morning, the children had their faces painted, came to school in their various costumes and perfected their acts. All of this contributed to a wonderful performance this afternoon. We had clowns, tightrope walkers, lion tamers, horse trainers and performing seals. Children performed tricks and told jokes to make us laugh. It was a great performance and I look forward to more of the activities as the term progresses. Thank you at all the parents for supporting the children with the costumes and props!
